My name is Serafin Guerrero and I am a Licensed Social Work Therapist. I received both my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work specialization in Children and Families from Northeastern Illinois University of Chicago. I have a wide-range of experience in Mental Health through both school and in-patient hospitalization settings. I provide support to a diverse age of clients from 7 to adults through individual, family, and couples therapy. I specialize in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, suicidality, self-harming, grief and loss and behavior disorders. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Mindfulness, and Strengths based approach to therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. My therapeutic style is approachable, conversational, and gently challenging, ensuring a supportive space for personal growth and transformation.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where clients are empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions in a safe and non-judgmental space. My goal is to support you in gaining insight, developing effective coping strategies, and achieving personal growth. By fostering a warm and respectful therapeutic relationship, I aim to create an environment where you feel valued and understood. I offer services in Spanish and am passionate about creating lasting, positive change through increased self-awareness and resilience.
