Our Florida care is delivered entirely by secure video. We don't have a physical office in Florida, so there's no waiting room to sit in and no traffic to plan around. You'll receive a link before your session, with no download required, and you can meet from any private, quiet space in the state.

Growth & Guidance is a Black-owned group therapy practice founded by Jalinia Logan, LCSW, CCATP, a former nurse turned therapist. Our clinicians are strengths-based and culturally affirming, and Florida sessions are with clinicians licensed in Florida.

Telehealth can be a strong fit for busy or unpredictable schedules, limited transportation, and anyone who simply feels more at ease opening up from their own space.

How a telehealth session works

Telehealth sessions happen over secure, HIPAA-appropriate video through our client portal. Before each appointment, you'll get a private link. When it's time, you join with one click and meet your therapist face to face on screen.

All you need is a private room, a device with a camera, and a stable internet connection. You need to be physically located in Florida, Illinois, or Georgia during each session. If the connection drops, your therapist will have a backup plan, usually a phone call, so a technical problem doesn't mean a lost session.

Making online therapy feel personal

A few small things can help a video session feel more like being in the room: a spot where you won't be overheard, headphones if others are home, a glass of water, and a few minutes beforehand to settle in. If you share your space with family or roommates, it's okay to talk with your therapist about how to keep your sessions private.

Insurance and rates for Florida clients

We accept many plans, including Aetna, Aetna Better Health, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Cigna, Oscar, and UnitedHealthcare (UHC), and plans must include behavioral health outpatient office benefits. Coverage can vary by state and plan, so contact our office and we will verify your benefits. Private pay, sliding scale, and monthly payment plans are also available.

Common questions

• Do you have an office in Miami?

  No. Our Florida care is telehealth only, with no physical office. You can meet by secure video from anywhere in Florida, including Miami.

• Do I need to download an app?

  No download is required. You'll receive a link before your session and join with one click from a device with a camera.

• What if I travel outside Florida?

  You need to be physically located in Florida, Illinois, or Georgia during each session, since those are the states where our clinicians are licensed. If you travel between them, we can usually keep meeting. If you move outside the three, we'll help you find a referral.

• What are your hours?

  Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Call our main and Florida line at 888-464-6177.
