Marius Haynes

Marius Haynes is an Associate Professional Counselor.He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in African-American studies. It was through that experience that he learned the world of diversity, culture and self-discovery. Understanding how to be a black male in a world that was not set up to support his dreams, was a lesson only learned through experience. Directly after obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he worked as a teacher counselor for disadvantaged and behaviorally challenged youth in a residential long term care facility. Over the years, he has held various positions working with youth including : community-based work as a mental health paraprofessional and mental health therapist, as well as a direct-care supervisor and behavioral therapy group leader in a short-term crisis facility, all in the Atlanta metropolitan area. In 2017, Marius obtained his Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, and interned at Ridgeview Institute as a case manager for those suffering with substance abuse. Today, he continues to work as an EAP specialist and therapist within the private practice arena,, helping and encouraging all to be the best versions of themselves, while continuing to strive to do the same. He is the proud black business owner of The Empath Store, as well as The Gifted Soul Project, a nonprofit organization being developed to serve underprivileged families in the Atlanta Metro, by providing workshops, seminars and free counseling to youth, students and parents, teaching the importance of cultural mental health wellness and positive self-identity. .
